JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israel's
trade and industry minister, Haim
Zadok, gave basic approval to a
plan to enable Israeli industry to
compete more effectively in world
markets which ministry sources
Monday called "a revolution in in-
dustrial planning."
Under the plan, Israeli's indus-

no more than 20 to 25 industries
which will be expanded to the size
necessary to enable them to en-
gage in such world competition.
The effort will be limited to a
number of specialized branches
which will be sufficiently expand-
ed to enjoy the benefits of large-
scale production methods and re-
search.
In a related development, the
foreign ministry decided Monday
to submit Israel's formal applica-

2 Teens to Learn About
the Meaning of Swastika

CHICAGO (JTA) — Two young
men arrested for street fighting
while wearing Nazis swastika
emblems on their jackets were
given a choice in a court here
of paying $200 fines or reading
a book on the evils of Nazism.
Judge Saul Epton of Boys
Court offered the choice to Gene
Kubisik, 19, and Daniel Kametz,

charges. Police said the two
were arrested in a street fight
Saturday while clad in jackets
bearing swastikas.
The judge said: "If you did
not learn what the swastika
stands for in school, then per-

your education in that area."
