Rights Declaration for Soviet Jewry
The effort is part of a nation-
wide project to have the plaques
posted in each of the more Than
3,000 Jewish institutions through-
out the United States,
The Declaration of Rights for
Soviet Jewry was adopted last
April by the 25 national member

Shaarey Zedek recently, Gail Dis-
ner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sol
Disner of Santa Clara Ave., be-
came the bride of Stuart Linden-
berg, son of the Jack Lindenbergs
of Chicago.
Rabbi Irwin Groner and Cantor
Reuven Frankel officiated.
The bridal gown was fashioned
in the Empire silhouette with Alen-
con lace appliques and seed pearls.
A shoulder-length veil of silk illu-
sion was fastened to a princess
crown of seed pearls.
Mrs. Daniel Malamud, the bride's
sister, was matron of honor, and
bridesmaids were Mrs. Allen Jos-
eph Grossman Jr., Valerie Ash,
Mrs. Charles Benet and Diane Lut-
yak of Lansing.
Harvey Lindenberg, the bride-,
groom's brother, served as best
man. The ushers were Scott Lin-
denberg, brother of the bride-
groom, James and Russell Linden
and Les Hoffman of Chicago.
After a honeymoon in Canada,
the couple is residing in Cham-
paign, Ill.

Plans call for the posting of
plaques in all synagogues, temples
and communal institutions during
Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur.
They will remain there as a visible
reminder of the Jewish commu-
nity's continuing responsibility and
commitment toward 3,000,000 fel-
low Jews in the Soviet Union.
The distribution of plaques in
the Detroit area has been coordi-
nated by a special committee of
the Jewish Community Council
under the chairmanship of Irving
Pokempner. Any person or organi-
zation desiring further informa-
tion on the project is invited to

Israel Delegation to UN
to Be Led by Abba Eban

JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israel's
delegation to the forthcoming ses-
sion of the United Nations General
Assembly, which opens Sept. 20,
will be headed by Foreign Minister
Abba Eban. He is due to arrive in
New York in two weeks.
Although the composition of the
rest of the Israeli delegation is
not yet known, the number of mem-
bers are believed to have been
cut considerably from the number
attending last year, because of the
current retrenchment program and
