MRS. ROBERT APTEKAR

Judith Arlene Gorelick, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gorelick,
19444 Stratford, and Robert Gary
Aptekar, son of Dr. and Mrs. Ger-
ald Aptekar, 18250 Birchcrest,
were married Wednesday at the
Sheraton-Cadillac Hotel.
The bride wore an Empire-style
gown of silk peau d'ange with a
floor-length princess-style coat of
imported lattice lace and swiss
flowers. A matching lace trimmed
toque held the full-length tiered
veil of imported silk ilusion, ap-
pliqued with Swiss flowers. She
carried a prayer book with an ar-
rangement of Phallanopus and
trailing Stephanotis and English
ivy.
Barbara Joy Gorelick served
her sister as maid of honor. Bren-
da Kowal, Dale Gold of Pennsyl-
vania and Merle Gordon of Chi-
cago were bridesmaids.
Donald Aptekar, brother of the
bridegroom, was best man. Ushers
were Michael Schkloven, Gary Eck-
ton, Erwin Carson, Jeffrey Littman
of Pikesville, Md., Gerald Becker
of Mt. Vernon, N.Y., and Gary
Mass of St. Louis.
The couple are honeymooning in
Scandinavia. On their return, they
will reside in Ann Arbor.

LASH-STUTZ: In the garden of
her parents' home, Carol Jean
Stutz was married to Steven Mi-
chael Lash. Officiating at the cere-
mony were Rabbis Leon Fram and
M. Robert Syme and Cantor Har-
old Orbach. The bride's parents
are Mr. and Mrs. George M. Stutz
of Vernon Ave., Huntington Woods.
Mr. and Mrs. Irving Lash of
Littlefield Ave. are the bride-
groom's parents. Mrs. Mitchell No-
vit of Ann Arbor served as her
sister's only attendant, while the
bridegroom's brother, Miles Lash,
acted as best man. The newlyweds
are at home in Detroit following
a wedding trip to Washington,
D.C., New York and Cape Cod.

Pittsburgh Federation
Organizes A Central
Scholarship Program

PITTSBURGH (JTA) — A cen-
tral scholarship and educational
loan refereal service for the Pitts-
burgh Jewish community has been
developed by the United Jewish
Federation, it was announced here
by Alvin Rogal, Federation presi-
dent.
The program, which will be
operated by the Vocational Reha-
bilitation Center of Allegheney
County, involves a central intake,
public information and a referral
service for eligible youth. Accord-
ing to the program, students • in
need of scholarshipS, loans or both
Will be referred to an organization,
which may help them.
Initially, three community or-
ganizations will participate in the
program: the National Council of
Jewish Women, the Hebrew ,Free
Loan Association and the YM-
YWHA-Irene Kaufmann Centers.
