Unveiling announcements may be in-
serted by mail or by calling The Jewish
News office, 17100 W. 7 Mile Rd., De-
troit 48235. VE 8-9364. Written an-
nouncements must be accompanied by
the name and address of the person
making the insertion. There is a stand-
ing charge of $3.50 for an unveiling
notice, measuring an inch in depth,
and $7.00 for one two inches deep with
a black border.

Rabbi Prero's Mother

Gisella K. Prero, mother of
Rabbi Samuel H. Prero of Young
Israel Center of Northwest Detroit,
died Sunday at age 83.
Mrs. Prero, born in New York,
came to Detroit six months ago
and was staying with her son at
his home, 17357 Ohio.
She leaves her husband, Asher;
and four grandchildren.

PAULINE METH, former De-
troiter of Los Angeles, died July
18. Survived by two sons, David
of Southfield and Ben Warren of
Sherman Oaks, Calif.; two daugh-
ters, Mrs. Ralph (Ruth) Kushner
of Encino and Mrs. Elmer (Mil-
dred) Alterman; seven grandchil-
dren and eight great-grandchil-
dren.

Gertrude Marks, wife of the late
Dr. Morris H. Marks, prominent
Detroit physician, died Sunday at
age 65.
A scholarship in the name of
Mrs. Marks and her husband was
set up some time ago by the Na-
tional Council of Jewish Women,
of which Mrs. Marks was a mem-
ber. She also belonged to Maimoni-
des Medical Society Auxiliary,
Hadassah and Town and Country
Club, as well as Adas Shalom Syn-
agogue.
A 1921 graduate of the Univer-
sity of Michigan, Mrs. Marks,
4076 Chippewa, was a one-time
public school teacher. She was
born in Steubenville, 0., and
lived in Detroit 45 years.
She leaves a son, Dr. Daniel S.;
five daughters, Mrs. Max (Sho-
shana) Harris of Israel, Mrs. Har-
old (Shirley) Strom, Mrs. Marvin
(Marian) Fuller, Mrs. Edward
(Ruth Ann) Jordan Jr. of Silver
Spring, Md., and Mrs. Jules (Ju-
dith) Gordon of Denver; four
brothers, Dr. Emanuel of Wooster,
