Mrs. Cooper 1st Woman
to Hold Scarab Club Post

Mrs. Vivien Cooper, a former
member of the Jewish News staff,
has been elected secretary of the
Scarab Club and thus becomes the
first woman officer of the 54-year-
old organization for Detroit area
artists, sculptors, authors and
curators.
Mrs. Cooper ,a director of the
club since last year, has exhibited
her paintings here, in Ann Arbor
and Ohio. She has a studio on the
third floor of her home at 18105
Fairfield.

recent wedding ceremony uniting
Linda Paula Friedlaender and
Charles Barry Goss, in the Sheraton-
Cadillac Hotel. Parents of the cou-
ple are Dr. and Mrs. Alex Fried-
laender of Lincoln Dr. and Mr.
and Mrs. Harry Goss of LaSeine
Ave., Southfield.
The bride's gown was of hand-
corded Alencon lace with Sabrina
neckline, Empire bodice and A-line
skirt sweeping into a matching
watteau train. Her veil was a full-
length mantilla of matching lace.
Joan Fula served as maid of
honor, with Ariana Berman, Deb-
orah Goldin, Sharon Yount,
Rhonda Green and Roslyn Gold-
berg as bridesmaids.
Assisting the groom were David
Harnadek, Barry Teitler, Arvin
Penman, Warren Kefferstein, Jo-
seph Fischer, Gary Friedlaender
and Howard Friedlaender, brothers
of the bride.
David Ehrenfeld was best man.
