Discussion on this topic will con- stitute this summer's "Words We Live By" series, produced by the Eternal Light on the coast-to-coast radio network of the National Broadcasting Company. The discussions, which are scheduled every Sunday for 15 consecutive weeks, feature Mark Van Doren, author, critic and Pulitzer Prize-winning poet who is professor • emeritus of English at Columbia University, and Maurice Samuel, author and lecturer (second and third from left). Robert Syme. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Weinberg of Kingston Rd. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack 'Dechter of London Ave. Wearing a sleeveless Empire gown of peau de soie with a floor- length coat and tea-cup sleeves of duchess lace and matching bon- net, the bride carried lilies of the valley on her confirmation Bible. Judith Ann Weinberg attend- ed her sister as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Mrs. An- thony Brown, Mrs. Donald Lifton, Marijane Lazar, Libby Beth Wain, Joann Weissman and Rima Saslove. 'Alvin Dechter, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Serving as ushers were William Davis, Jerrold Becker, Richard Schiffer, Steven Wain, Michael Shubow, Mervin Cherrin, Dr. Howard Weiss- man, Dr. Martin Weissman and Irwin Serotte. Following a wedding trip to Mexico, the newlyweds will make their home in Royal Oak. Last summer he took courses in theory with Nadia Boulanger at Fontainbleau, France. A few months ago Ed won first prize in the piano competition for high school students sponsored by Grinnells and the Detroit Musi- cians League.
