On July 8, Simon and Schuster
will publish the sequel to this book:
Dr. Liebman's "Hope For Man."
"With his inquiring mind," writes
Fan Loth Liebman, his widow, in
the preface, "before his first book
was published he was laying the
cornerstone of a second book,
which he entitled "Hope For Man."
Years ahead of his time, he saw
the dangers of the teachings of the
new pessimists. their nihilism,
which he hoped to refute with his
own philosophy of life. Its theme
clearly was to be an answer to
the pessimism in much of modern
literature and philosophy, particu-
larly existentialism set forth
Kierkegaard and Sartre, as well
as the brilliant but narrow view
of life as represented in such dark
writers as Kafka."
With his unexpected death in
1948, at the age of 41, his manu-
scripts and notes were placed •in
storage. Many knew of Rabbi
Liebman's project, but nothing was
done until three years ago when
Leon Shimkin, president of Simon
and Schuster and one of the
original editors of "Peace of
Mind," suggested that Mrs. Lieb-
man work through the manuscripts
and reconstruct the book. Not only
was the outline for "Hope For
Man" found among Dr. Liebman'S
papers, but also complete papers
corresponding exactly to the chap-
ter heads in the outline, enabling
Mrs. Liebman to prepare the
manuscript for publication.

Soviet Press Suppresses
News of 'Israel Day'

WASHINGTON (JTA)-A careful
review of the latest Moscow metro-
politican newspapers disclosed here
that, while the Soviet government
officially designated and observed
May 19 as "Israel Day" at the
Soviet International Modern Agri-
cultural Machinery and Equipment
Exhibition in Moscow, no mention
of this event was made in the Rus-
sian domestic press.
Israel was honored at the ex-
hibition, and some Israeli products
were publicly lauded. But such
leading newspapers as Pravda and
Izvestia failed to report these facts.
The event was the first time a
Soviet exposition recognized Israel
in this manner. However, it was
noted, Soviet authorities released
the story abroad.
It was also noted that details of
United States participation in the
exhibition were similarly sup-
pressed. Participation of the other
nations, including such Western
countries as Italy,: were reported
in detail.

D.C. Center Goal $6 Million
WASHINGTON (JTA) - The
goal for the construction of the
new Greater Washington Jewish
Center has been increased to $6,
000,000 from the previously an-
nounced goal of $5,300,000, it was
announced by Charles E. Smith,
chairman of the Greater Washing-
ton Jewish Community Foundation,

Shrinks Hemorrhoids
Without Surgery

Stops Itch-Relieves Pain

For the first time science has found
a new healing substance with the as-
tonishing ability to shrink hemor-
rhoids and to relieve pain - without
surgery. In case after case, while
gently relieving pain, actual reduc-
tion (shrinkage) took place. Most
amazing of all - results were so thor-
ough that sufferers made astonishing
statements like "Piles have ceased to
be a problem!" The secret is a new
healing substance (Bio-Dyneig)- dis-
covery of a world-famous research
institute. This substance is now avail-
able in suppository or ointment form
called Preparation kl®. At all drag
