Judith Sharon Cooper and Mil-
ton David Friedman were married
Sunday at the Sheraton-Cadillac
Hotel. Rabbi Jacob Segal and Can-
tor Nicholas Fenakel officiated.
Their parents are Mrs. Morris
Small of Los Angeles and Mr. and
Mrs. Hyman Friedman of Santa
Barbara Ave.
The bride wore a peau de soie
Empire-bodiced sleeveless gown,
with a panel of peau d' ange lace
touching the hem of the dome
skirt. A jeweled capelet fell into
a chapel train of Brussels net
appliqued with garlands of peau
d' ange lace and appliqued in
pearls and crystals. She wore a
mantilla of matching net and
lace and carried Stephanotis.
Her matron of honor was Mrs.
Jerome Cooper, and bridesmaids
were Mrs. Bernard Portnoy and
Sydelle Becker.
Best man was Stuart Brodsky.
Richard Rosenthal and Sanford
Finkel were ushers.
After a honeymoon in Bermuda
and New York, the couple will re-
side in Ann Arbor.

Rabbi Mordecai Kirshblum, gen-
eral chairman of the 18th anniver-
sary celebration dinner of the Re-
ligious Zionists of America, an-
nounced that Phillip and Max Stoll-
man of Detroit have been selected
to be the "men of the year" to be
honored at the dinner. The dinner
will be held next Wednesday at the
Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New
York, with 1,000 guests from all
parts of the United States expect-
ed to participate.
The Stollman brothers have been
active in furthering the progress
of Jewish community, national and
world-wide causes. Their involve-
ment in the real estate develop-
ments of Detroit and its environs
has been phenomenal. Their Bilt-
more Building Co. is one of the
major realty construction firms in
the midwest and gained interna-
tional repute by building the
Somerset Park development in
Troy, the largest privately financed
housing complex in the midwest
area.
Phillip Stollman is chairman of
the American Committee for Bar-
Ilan University in Israel, and is
I chairman of the board of Bar-Ilan..
At a recent $50-a-plate dinner
sponsored by Detroit Friends of
Bar-Ilan at Cobo Hall, in De-
troit, Governor Romney of Mich-
igan was initiated as an honorary
fellow of Bar-Ilan University.
Phillip Stollman initiated the
event.
Max Stollman is treasurer of the
American Committee for Bar-Ilan
University. He is associated with
his brother in the operation of the
Biltmore Building Co.
Phillip and Max Stollman are
brothers of Rabbi Isaac Stollman
who served as president of the
Religious Zionists of America in
1957 when Bar-Ilan University
came into being. Rabbi Stollman
recently settled in Israel.
Mrs. Max Stollman is a founder
and national chairman of American
Women for Bar-Ilan University.
The Stollman Administration
Building at Bar-Ilan University
is in the process of being erected
on the campus as a tribute to
the Stollmans.

Center Workers' Seminar

Nineteen full -time American
Jewish Community Center workers
and two social work students have
registered for this summer's Na-
tional Jewish Welfare Board Israel
Seminar being sponsored for the
second year by JWB and the Jew-
ish Agency for Israel. The pro-
grain, extending from July 5 to
Aug. 24, will include a curriculum
of extensive travel and intensive
study in Israel geared to enrich-
ing the Jewish background of Cen-
ter workers which will enable them
to develop additional Jewish pro-
gramming in their Centers.

Max M. Fisher, general chair-
man of the nationwide United Jew-
ish Appeal, left for advance discus-
sions with leaders of European
Jewish communities and Prime
Minister Levi Eshkol of Israel on
overseas relief and migration
needs which will form the basis of
next year's UJA campaign.
During his three-week visit,
abroad, Fisher will hold business
conferences in connection with
Israel's petro-chemical_ interests.
A leading figure in the American
oil i n d u s t r y, the Detroiter has
served for more than a decade as
a principal adviser to the govern-
ment of Israel on its petro-chemi-
c al industry.
In Paris, Fisher will confer with
Baron Edmond de Rothschild on
the critical social welfare needs
created over the last few years by
a great influx of Jewish refugees
into France from the North African
countries which are now indepen-
dent of France.
In Spain, Fisher will meet with
Max Mazin, spokesman for the
Jewish community of Madrid.
Fisher will travel to Geneva,
Switzerland, headquarters of the
American Joint Distribution Com-
mittee, will receive up-to-the-min-
ute reports on JDC requirements
for the coming year from JDC Di-
rector General Charles H. Jordan
and from the heads of JDC social
welfare operations in North Africa,
