Dr. Irving Gooze, former De-
troiter who headed the physics de-
partment at Eastman-Kodak Co.
in Rochester, N.Y., died May 21.
Dr. Gooze, a graduate with
bachelors, masters and doctors
degrees in physics from the Uni-
versity of Michigan, came to this
country from Poland as a young
boy, his family settling in Detroit
in 1928. He held teaching posts in
Maryland and North Dakota be-
fore going to Rochester.
Surviving him are his wife, Mae;
three sons, Jerry, Jay and Robert;
a brother, Morton of Lincolnwood,
Ill.; and a sister, Mrs. Samuel
(Faye) Rovin of Oak Park.

Angeles: He was 83.
