Day School Sets
Ninth Grade Opening
Hillel Day School, in its eighth
year of operation, has made plans
to open a ninth grade this fall
to complete the junior high de-
partment.
Registration for the coming
school year is now open for kin-
dergarten and first grade. A limit-
ed number of openings is available
in second grade.
The school will honor a loyal
friend, Mrs. Emma Schaver, at a
tribute concert 8:30 p.m. June 23,
at Ford Auditorium. Tenor Jan
Peerce will be guest artist. For
reservations, call the concert
office, 353-3105.
When It Comes

Jewish Meals
Mothers the world over, regard-
less of nationality, loved to bake
cookies and children, regardless
of race, creed or color of skin,
loved to munch them. "Mother's
Magic Cookie Jar" was kept in a
secret place, but not so secret as
to keep a bunch of cookie-hungry
kids from finding it. Father's oc-
casional furtive forays into that
self-same jar enlisted a powerful
ally on our side. Mother could not
openly charge father with theft
so mother kept on baking a new
batch and we kept on raiding the
jar, thus creating all around hap-
piness.
Do you want to make all your
kids (including father) happy?
Here are a few recipes that will
bring a few compliments to you.
They are so easy to do, and freeze
so well, you will feel guilty about
the praise showered upon you.
