FRANKFURT — A school "just like any other" but, in fact, like no other in Germany, is now in operation in Friedrichstrasse. The two teachers at the first Jewish school to open in Germany since the Nazi era insist it is like any other German school. A. Olko- witz, a leader of the Frankfurt Jewish community and director of the school, points out it is not a re- ligious institution. However, Heb- rew and Jewish culture are taught, and the school is closed on the Sab- bath. Six Christian students are en- rolled, and they are not asked to participate in the Hebrew and Jew- ish culture classes. The 4,000 Jews in Frankfurt are supporting the school without any help . from the state except for the provision of a West Ger- man Christian teacher. The other teacher is an Israeli Jew. Olkowitz said the school was *founded a month ago because. the Frankfurt Jewish community — the third Jargest in Germany — wanted to restore its tradition of Jewish education, perhaps the longest in Germany. Jewish secular schools were founded here more than 150 years ago. SPECIAL PACKAGE DEAL was extended by Edward Roper, vice president of WXUR media. Samuel L. Gaber, director of the ADL regional office here, called the bid "a belated attempt" to give "a false picture of impartiality" to support disavowal "of biased pre- sentations." He questioned the right of the station to keep its license. The ADL official cited as "anti- Semitic hate-mongering" a WXUR program of Aug. 16, 1965 in which the then moderator, Tom Livzey "engaged in and encouraged the broadcasting of anti-Semitic can- ards." He added that anti-Semitism was "no more debatable than is porno- graphy or Communist propaganda" and that broadcast of such material by a radio station indicated fail- ure to comply with the legal stand- ard "of serving the public con- venience, interest or necessity." He said a copy of his letter was sent to the Federal Communications Com- mission. Young GOP Must Oust Rat Finks by Wednesday WASHINGTON (JTA) — Sen.
