Miniatures Spark
John XXIII, JFK
Leadership Roles

Random House gains added glory
with a new form of literature—
the miniatures.
In two such set s, boxed 3x4
inches in size, are included the wit
and wisdom and selections from
the speecheS of John F. Kennedy
and Pope John XXIII.
Planned and produced by Sayre
Ross Co., illustrated by Jan Ment-
ing, the four small Kennedy vol-
umes, offered as "Memorial Minia-
tures," contain the late President's
humorous remarks made on many
occasions; wisdom included in his
speeches as Senator and as Presi-
dent; his inaugural address of Jan.
20, 1961, and the eulogies paid to
him in the rotunda of the Capitol,
Nov. 24, 1963.
The noble role of the late Pope
John XXIII is relayed in a simi-
lar set of four little books which
deal with the wit and wisdom of
the late Pontiff, his expressions
of faith and the eulogies to him.
In the miniature on faith are
incorporated excerpts from Pope
John's "Pacem in Terris" which
has become an historic document.
The eulogies include a brief state-
ment by Rabbi Maurice N. Eisen-
drath, president, Union of Ameri-
can Hebrew Congregations.
