Walter Silver of Fairfield Ave. Miss Stocker graduated from the University of Michigan and cur- rently is attending Wayne State University. She is a PhD applicant in chemical psychology. Her fiance is attending the University of Michigan's medical school and is affiliated with Phi Delta Epsilon medical fraternity. The couple plans a July wedding. first-grade students for the 1966- 67 school year is being accepted by Hillel Day School, Max Gold- smith, president announced. Combining Hebraic and General studies the school now includes a morning and afternoon kindergar- ten and grades 1 through 8. Plans have been made to open a 9th grade this fall to complete the jun- ior high department. The general studies program is fully accredited by the state of Michigan, and courses in the Hebraic department in elude study of modern Hebrew, Bible, Jewish history, customs and ceremonies and synagogue skills. The faculty includes specialized instructors in science, art, music, physical e d u c a t i o n, speech therapy and remedial reading and a consulting psychologist. The school serves the entire Jewish community, irrespective of synagogue affiliation. Registration should be completed before the end of May in order to enable the school to plan for the required number of teachers and classrooms. Merged Young Israel Plans Constitution On Wednesday, the combined boards of the Young Israel Center of Oak-Woods and Young Israel of Greenfield will meet to consider a constitution for merging both groups into one organization.
