Twenty-five new paintings by
SADOIE HAYMS will be exhibited
beginning May 13 at The Brata,
a cooperative New York City gal-
lery. The Oak Park grandmother
of four will hang assemblages and
incised sculptural paintings. It is
her third show at the Brata. In
1964, she was the first woman west
of the Hudson River invited to
show at the gallery. The 4'10" 95-
pound Mrs. Hayms has entered a
new phase of work with the com-
pletion of her incised sculptural
paintings. They are designs carved
into synthetic materials and then
painted. The assemblages, one of
her specialties, are created by put-
ting together assorted junk with
art materials. One of her assem-
blages, "Poseur," was recently
given the Scarab Club's first prize
—the gold medal award. "Blue
Rhythm," an abstract sculptural
painting, earned her recognition at
the Freedom Festival. Her paint-
ing, "The Unvanquished," is in a
permanent collection on exhibit at
the Municipal Museum, Safed Is-

rael.

Germany was urged Tuesday in a

Waldor, told the executive

"We should teach the facts about
Hitler's reich," he said. The res-

the necessary revisions."
