Derin-Singer Wedding
Planned for December

MISS CAROL DERIN

Mr. and Mrs. Max E. Derin,
20520 Charlton, Southfield, an-
nounce the engagement of their
daughter Carol to Sanford S. Sing-
er, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Singer of Brooklyn.
Miss Derin is attending the Uni-
versity of Michigan. Her fiance is
completing work on his doctorate
degree in biochemistry at U. of M.
In the fall, he will be attending the
Albert Einstein school of medicine
of Yeshiva University where he
will do post-doctorate research
work.
The couple plan a December
wedding.

The Congregation of Gemi-
luth Chassodim "Salute to Israel"

Pinchas Dror, Israel trade com-
missioner for the Midwest, will be
guest speaker.
Dror, born in Jerusalem, served
in the Israeli air force from 1954
to 1956. He received a degree in
chemical engineering from the
Technion in Haifa and from 1960
to 1962 he was a research fellow
at the Hebrew University, from
which he received a master's de-
gree in bio-chemistry.
In 1962, Dror came to the
United States and entered the de-
partment of marketing of the
School of Business Administration
at UCLA. Last year he joined the
Israel ministry of commerce and
industry and was appointed re-
gional trade commissioner at the
Consulate General of I s r a el in
Chicago.

versity. Miss Addison is known
across the country for her record-
ings, television appearances and
performances with the New York
Philharmonic, Chicago, Boston,
San Francisco, Los Angeles and
other major smyphonies and her
sound-track performance of Bess
in the motion picture "Porgy
and Bess." In private life she is
the wife of Norman Berger, an in-
structor at New York TJniversity.

Symphony Orchestra's •final concert

Detroiter of Chicago, announces the
engagement of her daughter Bon-
nie Lissa to Ramy Amir, son of Mr.
