dassah on Mon-
day through

Credit Where It's Due

Where did Gov. George Romney
get the idea for renaming South-
field Expressway the Adler Free-
way? It came from Mrs. Victor
Morganstern, 980 Whitmore.
Mrs. Morganstern was driving by
Shaarey Zedek Synagogue shortly
after Rabbi Adler's funeral when
the idea came to her. She called
the Republican State Central
Office, which in turn called the
governor's office.
The governor called the high-
way department, and within 24
hours the Southfield City Council
had Gov. Romney's proposal in its
hands. The council approved the
renaming.
