"A STUNNING PICTURE THAT KNOCKED US OUT OF OUR
CHAIRS! BRILLIANT PERFORMANCES! MEMORABLE! ONE
OF THE MOST DEVASTATING PICTURES I'VE SEEN FROM
EUROPE OR ANYWHERE ELSE IN- SEVERAL YEARS!"

-BOSLEY CROWTHER, N.Y. TIMES

"YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO MISS THIS BRILLIANT AND EXTRAORDINARY
FILM! REMARKABLE AND RARE! STANDS AS ONE OF THE FINE FILMS OF OUR
TIME, FOR ALL TIME! "--JUOITH CRIST, N.Y. HERALD TRIBUNE

FAYE MACKIE had quite a story
to tell hubby Mannie when he
came home from work . . . Seems
that their Scottie dog, Plaid, was
brought back to the Mackie house-
hold after being found running
loose around Oak Park . . . Faye
couldn't imagine how he had got-
ten out, but everyone was so
happy to see him that they heaped
affection on the pooch . . . Sud-
denly, out of the blue, came a
familiar bark . . Faye went to
the back door and there was the
real Plaid, who had been a good
little dog minding his own busi-
ness in the yard . . . 'Twas a very
definite case of mistaken identity
. . . But Plaid doesn't mind that
another dog had taken his place
for the moment . . . The only thing
bothering him is that the Oak Park
dog catchers won't know the dif-
ference!

AT BREAKFAST last week,
Miles Geller, four-year-old son of
Marilyn and Bert Geller, told
mother, "All right, I'll finish the
cereal, But after it makes me big
and strong nobody's gonna make
me eat it."
• * *
BRUCE LYONS, son of Ann and
Louis Lyons, has been promoted
to branch manager for Manufactur-
ers National Bank . . . Bruce
started with Manufacturers nine
years ago as a teller . . . Until
then, Bruce has been sort of a
"roving manager" for Manufactur-
ers . . . Quite a feat for someone
just under 30!

BEN ROTH, former Detroiter
now living in Majorca, an island
off the mainland of Spain, is in
town for a dual purpose . . . To
have his new daughter born an,
American citizen and also to spend
Passover with his brothers and
sisters . . . Ben is staying at sister
Frieda Drapkin's home with his
wife Nuria, whose child was re-
cently born at Sinai Hospital . . .
In Majorca, Ben is known as Ben-
ito, and writes a daily column for
the Majorca Bulletin, an English
language paper . . . He is also a
correspondent for Variety, Reuters
News Agency and the Jewish
Chronicle of London . . . Ben went
to Majorca four years ago while
traveling through Europe . . . He
became enchanted with the island
and decided to make it his home.

RAYE WEIMER, hospital chair-
man for the Yetz-Cohen Auxiliary,
JWV, is keeping son, Philip, 13,
out of school April 7, so he can
assist Rabbi Myron Mossysky in
the services at the Third Seder
given by the auxiliary at the hos-
pital in Battle Creek . . . There
are about 35 Jewish patients.

Its cast of over 25,000 players

Heston, Yul Brynner, Anne Bax-
ter, Edward G. Robinson, Yvonne
DeCarlo, Debra Paget, John Derek,

Martha Scott, Judith Anderson
and John Carradine.
