announced that the SPRING TERM
REAL ESTATE CLASS will com-
mence 7 p.m. Monday and continue
for eight weeks at Henry Ford
High School. Real estate law and
problems will be the subject of the
weekly class. The course will be
of special value to those taking
exams for their salesmen or brok-
ers licenses.

of the Wayne Circuit bench will
speak at the annual meeting of
the C & S Employes Credit Union
of Livonia 2 p.m. Sunday at the
Bonnie Brook Country Club. His
subject will be "The Circuit Court
for Wayne County." Judge Burdick
will address members of the Cur-
rent Affairs Club of Redford High
School 3 p.m. Monday. Topic will
be "The Workings of the Wayne
County Circuit Bench."

SAFETY DAY," concluding the
Detroit Edison Co.'s Safety Action
Week at all Edison facilities. Em-
ployes will evaluate safety precau-
tions on their individual jobs and
attempt to eliminate causes of ac-
cidents before they occur.

Council "SCOUT-O-RA1VIA '66"

Fairgrounds June 3-5. The show

found in the scouting program.

tion for Advancement of Ethical
Hypnosis, will speak at a meeting
of the DETROIT WOMEN'S PAS-
SENGER TRAFFIC CLUB Tues-

At the last meeting, the group re-
solved to write Michigan lawmak-
ers to enact laws that would pro-
vide safer and saner driving. It
also established a book fund at
Wayne State University, which
will help needy students purchase
books needed for their courses.

Detroit announced that application
blanks for supplemental Medicare
benefits are now available at all
local post offices.
The blanks are being made avail-
able as the Social Security Admin-
istration seeks to contact 3,100,000
senior citizens before a March 31
deadline imposed by the Medicare
law.
President Johnson has pro-
claimed March as "National Medi-
care Enrollment Month." He urged
all federal agencies and all citizens
to cooperate in enrolling senior
citizens in the program .
Everyone 65 and over is eligible
for basic hospital benefits under
Medicare. Senior citizens who
reached 65 before 1966 face a two-
year delay if they do not sign up
by March 31.

John E. Lama, instructor in
Wayne State University's depart-
ment of speech and the institute
of labor and industrial relations,
announced his candidacy in the
Democratic nomination for the
State Senate, seventh senatorial
district.
Born in Detroit, Lama has served
on the faculty of Detroit Country
Day High School, Monmouth Col-
lege, Indiana University, and the
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree
and a Master of Arts degree from
Wayne State University and has
done doctoral work at Indiana Uni-
versity.
Lama will oppose the incumbent,
Raymond Dzendzel.
