is a real treat

The Best of Everything

REMEMBER WHEN THE Marti-
ans invaded our comedians and
comedy writers? You couldn't scan
a newspaper column or visit a
night club or watch your television
without running into a Martian
. . . They even had a song here on
earth, "Take Me To Your Leader,
Cha-cha-cha." . . . We could have
raised a lot of money for our
planet by taxing all those Marti-
ans running around looking for
their leader . . . Anyway, those
outer space guys weren't so smart
. . . If they had any brains they
would have gone right to their
leader instead of asking every-
body for directions.
WE WONDER IF Marsniks are
telling earth stories up there . . .
We can just picture our Martian
rocketing to his . home on Mars
Boulevard late one night and ex-
plaining to his dear wife, "Could
not help it, dear, I was caught in
a traffic jam in New York." . . .
We wonder who's the Milton Ber-
le of Mars? . . . Can't you just hear
him confusing his telespace lis-
teners about how he landed in
the Bronx Zoo and told a lion,
"Take me to your feeder?" . . .
"You're too late," purred the fe-
line, "I just ate him."
WE KNOW ONE THING . . .
a woman will never be the first
human being to set foot on the
moon on account of she won't
know what to wear for the event
. . We are so close to it now, one
guy is already manufacturing pills
to relieve "space-sickness."
OUTER SPACE is like juvenile
delinquency—the more we study it
the more there seems to be . . .
With our Navy launching rockets
it won't be long before sailors have
a girl on every planet .. . Today's
comedians can justifiably claim
their jokes are "out of this world."
. . . We can hear you saying, "I
wish they were there with them."
. . . Our Martian approached a
bop musician who told him, "No
use taking you to my leader—he
