The two social halls will be transformed into art galleries to show the works of painters, sculp- tors and potters, and according to Mrs. Allen Berlin, chairman of the art committee, this will be one of the largest shows of its kind ever held. The number of entries dou- bles the size of any previous art show at the temple. Mrs. Berlin, herself a collector, a member of the Founder's Soci- ety of the Detroit Institute of Arts and an active participant in nu- merous civic functions held to ad- vance the arts in Detroit, advises that many of the artists have been represented at the Michigan Art- ists Show and some of the other outstanding juried shows through- out the state. In addition to the main gallery, there will be a coffee house art gallery, "The Room at the Top," where visitors may leisurely view a variety of art works while they sip coffee and listen to chamber and folk music. All works on exhibit will be for sale. In addition, there will be demonstrations during the Fair hours, noon to 10 p.m. daily, by artists in techniques of oil paint- ing, acrylic, pastel, ink, sketching, pottery, sculpture, serigraph and weaving. Assisting Mrs. Berlin in plan- ning the art show are her co-chair- men Mesdames Arnold Fuller, Murray Mahlin and Rodney Lands- man.
