At the 1966 Israel Bond inaugural dinner held at the Fontaine-
bleu Hotel in Miami Beach, which launched the Israel "Chai" Year
campaign, from left, seated: Abraham Feinberg, president of the

Phillip Stollman, Detroit Israel Bond steering committee chairman;

die Beckerman with Hal Adler will
be the one-woman show featured
at a program of Center Theater
8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Jewish
Center.
Using excerpts from plays and
literature, Mrs. Beckerman will
portray deeply etched characters
of women in love as famous au-
thors have viewed them. The meet-
ing is open to the public, with a
nominal charge for non-members.

Around the Moon," by Jean
Anouilh, will be held at the Cen-

Council Nominees
to Be Presented at
Delegate Assembly

Nominating committee recom-
mendations for all Jewish Com-
munity Council offices and execu-
tive committee vacancies will be
presented at the next Council Dele-
gate Assembly 8:30 p.m. March 15
at the Jewish Center.
The program portion of the as-
sembly will feature a discussion on
"The Jewish Intellectual and the
Jewish Community" by Milt on
Himmelfarb, national director of
information service for the Ameri-
can Jewish Committee. Himmel-
farb will comment on the growth
and impact of assimilative tenden-
cies within American Judaism
with particular references to the
Jewish intellectual and college stu-
dent.
Presenting the nominating com-
mittee recommendations will be
the chairman, Sidney Shevitz. Also
included on the agenda will be a
survey of recent Council activities.
Hostesses for the social hour which
will follow the Assembly program
will be from the Jewish War Vet-
erans, Department of Michigan
-Ladies Auxiliary.
