It's special new Mar-Pary Margarine now in food stores. Approved and produced under supervision of the Union of Ortho- dox Jewish Congregation of Am- erica, special new Mar-Pary is certified pareve and kosher for Passover. Manufactured by the Miami Margarine Co. of Cincin- nati, it is made with a new formula of all vegetable, all natural, non- grain products. Miami Vice President J. P. Whitehurst explains, "Special new Mar-Pary contains no milk or animal fat or any non-acceptable Passover ingredient. It may be used to prepare or to serve at all Jewish Passover meals, but can be stored in freezer for use any time. Highly unsaturated and vitamin enriched, this tasty all-purpose Margarine should be a boon to Jewish Passover menus." Special new Mar-Pary Margar- ine, formulated and produced only for Passover, will not replace Miami's regular kosher, pareve Mar-Pary Margarine produced and sold throughout the year. Pass- over products bear the "Kosher for Passover" Jewish script with Eng- lish translation on - the package. "Years ago, the Miami Margar- ine Co. of Cincinnati recognized the need for a Jewish margarine and developed regular Mar-Parv, the first kosher pareve margaine. And today Miami has scored another first by perfecting the first margarine approved for Pass- over, special Mar-Parv," according to Elmer Weber, Miami director of marketing. Raskin Food Co., 15391 Idaho, is the local distributor and can be contacted for a list of stores where the new margarine is sold. Award winners in 1965 were Dr. John M. Dorsey, the University Professor, and Dr. Calvin L. Stevens, professor and chairman of the department of chemistry.
