Prof. M. E. Brown Interprets
Neo-Idealistic Aesthetics
in New Volume of WSU Press
Minkow-Gutmann Troth
Announced in Oak Park
Newly translated material from
the works of Benedetto Groce and
Giovanni Gentile, culled from their
Italian writings, and valuable data
from the writings of the British
philosoper R. G. Collingood are
incorporated in the latest work
that has come off the Wayne State
University Press.
It is "Neo-Idealistic Aesthetics:
Groce-Gentile-Collingood" by Prof.
Merle E. Brown.
It is an interpretation of the
history of neo-idealistic aesthetics
organized around the concept of
art.

By ROSALIND S. ZUNSER
Our recipes for today are two
favorite desserts; one traditional
and brought from the old country
— "Noodle Pudding" which our
grandmothers called "Lukshen-
kugel" or "Teigachts" relished in
the "Shtetl;" the other Chocolate
Cake, something we acquired in
our new home for the simple rea-
son that chocolate was practically
an unobtainable luxury in the
smaller communities, and an ex-
pensive one in the larger ones.
Our mothers, on coming to these
shores, learned quickly and
adopted innovations which en-
riched the scroll of "Mama's
Meichulim" — •and added to her
legendary reputation.
