Rabbi Cahan to Refer to Experiences in Japan for Adas Shalom Lecture Next speaker in the series, "Morals, Man and the Good Society," sponsored by the Adas Shalom Adult Study Institute, will be the assistant rabbi of the con- gregation, Rabbi Leonard S. Cahan, who will speak on "Morali- ty East and West," 9:15 p.m. Tues- day in the social hall. Rabbi Cahan, a native of Phila- delphia, was ordained at the Jewish Theological Seminary in 1961, entered the naval chaplaincy and served in Japan three years. For part of this time, he was the only rabbi in Japan and came in contact with many aspects of re- ligious life there. Rabbi Cahan majored in experi- mental psychology at the Univer- sity of Pennsylvania and attended Gratz Hebrew College. He assumed his duties with Adas Shalom in August.
