Zena Harman, chairman of the
board of the United Nations Chil-
dren's Emergency Fund, Pioneer
Women announced this week a
special transmission of $50,000 to
provide scholarships for the educa-
tion of Israeli children.
Mrs. Harman, wife of the Israel
ambassador to the United States,
was presented with a plaque at
a luncheon Tuesday, the last day
of Pioneer Women's three-day
national board meeting at the
Statler Hilton Hotel.
The scholarships will be the
first in the organization's new Beba
Idelson Scholarship Program.
