Workshops to explore the theme of the day are scheduled at 10:30 a.m., and Mrs. Schoolman will give her major pres- entation at 1:15 p.m., following a luncheon. Mrs. Schoolman a volunteer work- er from NeAN York, has served on the national board of Hadas- sah for more than 25 years, holding many offices. In Mrs. Schoolman recognition of her services to Youth Aliyah and the Zionist movement, she was elected a full member of the Youth Aliyah management board of the Jewish Agency in Jerusalem. Mrs. Schoolman's service to Youth Aliyah began in 1947 when she accepted the Jewish Agency's call to act as co-chairman of its Youth Aliyah management com- mittee. She played a vital role in its reorganization after the passing of Henrietta Szold and during the hectic period of mass immigration of children and youth. The dining hall at Ramat Ha- dassah Szold is named for Mrs. Schoolman in gratitude for her contribution. She was the first world chairman of the executive for Child's Day, setting a pattern for world-wide and interfaith observance of this memorial to martyred Jewish youth. Mrs. Schoolman was a member of the World Zionist Action Com- mittee from 1937 for many yeais, and was the first American Jewish woman to chair actions committee and Congress commissions. As chairman of the Hadassah Medical Organization Committee for a six-year period, she super- vised all of Hadassah's projects in Israel.
