Mrs. Adler to Address
Border-CitiesConference

Mrs. Morris Adler will be key-
note speaker at the afternoon ses-
sion of the Border-Cities Confer-
ence on Rearing Children of Good
Will Thursday at Rackham Educa-
tional Memorial Building.
At the annual event sponsored
by the Detroit Round Table of
Catholics, Jews and Protestants,
Mrs. Adler will emphasize import-
ance of developing moral and
spiritual values in rearing chil-
dren of good will in our modern
society.
Co-sponsors of the conference in-
clude the American Jewish Com-
mittee, American Jewish Congress,
Council of Michigan, and its De-
troit Women's Division; Jewish
Community Council; League of
Jewish Women's Organizations;
Metropolitan Detroit Bnai Brith
Councils, Men and Women; and
National Council of Jewish Women,
Detroit Section.
Jewish organizational leaders
who are taking part in workshop
programs are Mesdames Theo-
dore Rosen, Marvin B. Levy, M.
Morton Barak and Robert Al-
pern. Walter Klein, Community
Council executive director, will
lead two of the workshop ses-
sions and Mrs. Martha Cohen of
the Council staff is a co-chair-
man of the conference report
committee and a workshop re-
corder.
Registration begins at 8:45 a.m.
A group registration entitles as
many of the members of an or-
ganization to attend as may wish
to do so.
The program begins at 9:30 a.m.
with a play, "The Children Are
Listening" directed by Beth Sheva
Laikin, and starring players of the
Jewish Center.
