Dr. David Kahane Named Argentina Chief Rabbi Emanu-El Women Will Host Church Members at Service In observance of National Bro- therhood Month, the Sisterhood of Temple Emanu-El has extended an invitation to lay leaders of the Protestant and Catholic churches in the North suburbs to attend the temple Friday evening service at 8:15 p.m. today. Rabbi Milton Rosenbaum's ser- mon "What Mean These Symbols," will cover the questions: With what would Jesus, if he entered the temple, be familiar? What would Jesus be surprised to see there? A question-answer period will follow the sermon in the sanctuary, and there will be a reception in honor of sisterhood's guests, along with a display of tables as they might be seen at different festivals in a Jewish home. Jewish religious law and former rabbi in Warsaw, has been named THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS the new chief rabbi of Argentina, 16—Friday, February 11, 1966 it was announced here by Zvi Fainguersch, president of the Central Council of the Jewish Com- munities in Argentina and of the Buenos Aires Kehilla. The author of a number of works in the field of halahah, Rabbi Kahane was a Polish Army chap- lain during the Nazi invasion of that country and later served as chief rabbi of the Polish forces in the territories liberated from the Nazis.
