'A surprise birthday party for jeweler Jules R. Schubot, 65,
was arranged by his son, Douglas, for 71 of Mr. Schubot's friends
last week at the Sheraton-Cadillac Hotel. Among the guests were
Lloyd Diehl, president of the Automobile Club of Michigan; Wayne
County Circuit Court Judge Carl M. Weideman; and theater owner
Irving Goldberg. Schubot's offices have been in the Metropolitan
Building for 35 years. The city presented him with a medallion
designed by Marshall Fredericks and crafted by Mr. Schubot.
The 30 top teen-age leaders of two divisions of the over 45,000-
member Bnai Brith Youth Organization are holding international
executive board meetings in Washington Feb. 3-6. Among the participat-
ing leaders of Aleph Zadik Aleph—boys' division—and Bnai Brith
Girls of BBYO is Deborah Keller, 17, 22777 Bellwood Dr., Southfield.
A surprise party was given for Mr. and Mrs. David Iwrey of
Robson Ave. by their children and grandchildren in celebration of
the couple's 40th anniversary. Some 100 friends and relatives attended.

Paula Frances Feldman was re-
cently united in marriage with
Michael Allen Sampson in an eve-
ning ceremony at Raleigh House,
with Rabbi NI. Robert Syme of-
ficiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr.
and Mrs. Abe Feldman, 18235
Onyx, Southfield, and Mrs. Emeline
Sampson, 17534 Roselawn.
Mrs. John Leslie of Miami was
matron of honor, and Tama Finn
was maid of honor. Bridesmaids
were Mrs. Henry Marcus, sister of
the bridegroom, and Janet Cooper.
Wally Sampson, brother of the
bridegroom, was best man, and
ushers were Robert Feldman, the
bride's brother, Henry Marcus,
David Winger and Richard Bloom.
Following a honeymoon in New
York City, the couple will live in
Chicago.
