visit to Yeshivath Beth Yehudah's
various branches recently, follow-
ing a number of activities in the
Orthodox Jewish community here.
They were Rabbis Yaakov Ka-
menetzky head of. Yeshivath Torah
Vodaath, David Lifshitz, rosh ye-
shiva of Yeshiva University's Isaac
Elchanan seminary; and Mayer
Cohen of Agudas Horabonim, the
largest Orthodox rabbinical body
on the continent.
Special assemblies at the school's
branches were addressed by the
visitors.
At the Beth Jacob branch,
Rabbi Kamenetsky reminded the
girls that during the bondage in
Egypt, the 'Jewish women were
the ones who gave courage and
incentive to the men to carry on
in the face of adversity. He
called on the students to follow
their example and prepare their
studies so they may go into the
world with a healthy Jewish out-
look.
The rabbi told them, "You are
the future mothers of Israel
and it is upon you that the future
homes of Israel will be built."
At another assembly, the re-
nowned "Suvalker Rabbi," Rabbi
LifShitz, called on the community
to strengthen Torah institutions in
the city and said "what we need
is authentic Judaism without any
of the counterfeiting influences of
so-called modern Judaism. The
only hope for the advancement
of our people is through the ef-
forts of yeshiva."
A highlight of the visit of the
rabbinical group was a tour of the
new building of Yeshivath Beth
Yehudah in Southfield.

field branches of the United He-
brew Schools will attend services
Sunday at Beth Aaron Synagogue.
The men's club of Beth Aaron
will be hosts for this event, the
second of six such programs
planned for the current school
year. Services are conducted by
members of the graduation class.
The men's clubs of Beth Aaron
and Adas Shalom sponsor the
meetings, at which a breakfast is
served and a program of interest
presented. Purpose of these get-
togethers is to familiarize the stu-
dents with the synagogue services
and introduce them to other as-
pects of synagogue life.
