HIS NAME IS spelled Kees
Roozen, but not pronounced that
way . . . Correct pronunciation is
"Case Rosen" ... Everybody knows
Kees and highly respects him for
his personality and ability .
And now a dream come true has
vaulted Kees right into the lime-
light of fine places to dine ... He
is finally the owner of his own
place . . . Mario's of Windsor
Restaurant and Tavern . . Be-
cause of the European culinary
background which his family has
maintained as an art for genera-
tions, Kees is no stranger to the
world of fine food . . . This expe-
rience continues after being man-
ager of many leading Canadian
restaurants and many of the finest
places in Europe . . . As example
the delicious, well-prepared food
at Mario's of Windsor, are special-
ties such as Roast Prime Ribs of
Beef which you see a chef slicing
soon after entering the door . . .
This delicious dish, simmering in
its own natural gravy is a rare
treat .. . The Veal Cutlet Parmi-
gano is another delicacy which
brings out the International flavor
. . . His fish menu is well varied
and includes many delicious prepa-
rations . . . Mario's of Windsor
Restaurant and Tavern on Ouelette
St. is now the place to go in Wind-
sor for good food .
THEY CALL HIM Papa Dave
... that's Dave Berg at the Golden
Griddle out Woodward way ... To
the employes he's like their fa-
ther, and the respect shown for
him is much more than just that
of an employer . . . On the "some-
thing new" ledger, Dave becomes
one of the few in Michigan with
the new electronic radar oven that
serves- complete meals hot on the
plate in just 45 seconds . . . A re-
markable $2,800 invention !
MARY BLAIR, waitress at Al-
bert's Dining Room on W 7 Mile
Rd., has the poise and personality
so very necessary to be good in
her profession . . . She is only 26,
but an old hand at serving the
public the way they like it done
. . . Mary has been a waitress since
11 years old, when she lied about
her age at a place called Bonnie's
Hill . . . Mary likes people and
they certainly like her.
MANY NITERIES next week
will have open house for New
Year's Eve . .. Others will be by
reservation . . . Don't take chances
. . . A phone call will settle your
problem . . All places listed on
our Food 'n Fun Guide pages are
highly recommended by this col-
umn.

Mastroianni Headlines
Science-Fiction Comedy

An unusual holiday attraction
this year is "The 10th Victim," at
the Punch and Judy and Studio
Theaters.
Filmed in color in Rome and
New York, Joseph E. Levine's
"The 10th Victim" brings together
for the first time the star combi-
nation of Marcello Mastroianni
and Ursula Andress, in a science-
fiction comedy-thriller.
Based on Robert Sheckley's
homicidal fantasy novel and pro-
duced by Carlo Ponti for Embassy
Pictures release, its off-beat story
can best be described as part
Hitchcock, part James Bond and
part George Orwell—set in the

Century
21st
.
