Home for Aged Facility to Be Dedicated Sunday Carol Fishman to Be

Vitally needed additional facil-
ities for care of the Jewish aged
will be dedicated Sunday, with

accommodations now offered by
the Jewish Home for Aged in its
other buildings at 11501 Petoskey.
The modern $3,000,000 struc-

tures include comfortable single
and double rooms, sitting rooms
and recreation rooms. For those
who require them, a therapeutic
workshop, occupational therapy
room and physio-therapy treatment
room will be available. Fine
medical facilities are conveniently
located on the premises that also
include a cheerful social hall and
chapel.

Financing of the hall and
pavilion was made possible by
major gifts by Abraham and Tom
Borman, and Edward and Freda
Fleischman. A contribution of
$1,100,000 was made by the Jewish
Welfare Federation. The balance
was contributed by members of the
Jewish Home for Aged board and
friends of the Home, a Federation
agency.

is director and first vice-president
of the Jewish Community Center
which he 'also serves as chairman
of the executive committee.

representatives to the board of
governors of the Jewish Welfare
Federation were Arthur Howard
and Edward C. Levy, Sr.
The meeting featured reports by
members of the 1965 Detroit Serv-
ice Group Israel Survey Tour.
Martin Field and Sol G. Kurtzman
spoke about their experiences
overseas. Jack Shenkman, tour
member, spoke on behalf on the
real estate and building trades
council of the group.

Meeting Halls To Rent
JERICHO TEMPLE

The Lucas Hoving dance troupe,
with Chase Robinson and Nancy
Lewis, will perform a ballet and
modern dance concert of original
works 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the
Jewish Center's Aaron DeRoy
Theater.
A native of Holland, Hoving is
a member of the faculty of the
Julliard School of Dance and was
lead dancer in the Limon Compai7'—`
before forming his own grout
Robinson is featured soloist of the
company. Female lead, Miss Lewis,
is a graduate of Julliard and has
performed with the Jack Moore,
Anne Sokolow and Limon com-
panies.
The dance concert is being held
at the Center in conjunction with
a Thanksgiving weekend series of
dance classes. Tickets are avail-
able at the Center.

Leonard , N. Simons, chairman
of the Home's executive commit-
tee, will be chairman of the
ceremonies that will begin at 11
a.m. Keynote speaker will be
Rabbi Morris Adler.
