PW Campaign
to Culminate in
donor Party

With the adoption of a $70,000
fund-raising goal, Detroit Council
of Pioneer Women is engaged in
a three-month Intensive campaign
to raise this sum for 1,000 social
service projects in Israel.
Mrs. Harold Novack, 1965 pro-
gram chairman of Detroit Coun-
cil, announced that Mrs. Rose
Kaufman, national president, will
speak and Shoshana Shoshan, inter-
national singer,
will entertain

closing campaign
luncheon to
which all contri-
butors to Pioneer
Women's conser-
vation fund are
invited.
Mrs. Kaufman,
Mrs. Kaufman as president of
the women's labor organization, is
an energetic worker for Israel,
and there is -a 10,000-tree Rose
Kaufman forest in Israel, planted
by the Cleveland Women's Divi-
sion of the Jewish National Fund.
She has traveled and spoken
throughout the United. States
and Europe for Pioneer Women,
Histadrut, Jewish National Fund,
United Jewish Appeal and Is-
rael Bonds. Former vice presi-
dent of the Cleveland Jewish
Community Council, she has been
chairman of the Jewish Welfare
Board and of the women's divi-
sion of Israel Bonds.
