B-G Confined to Bed
After Election; Plans
Told for Visit to U.S.

TEL AVIV (JTA) — Former
Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion
was confined to bed last weekend
after suffering an attack of dizzi-
ness. He had been feeling weak
since Nov. 11. Ben-Gurion's doctors
said the former Premier had be-
come "overtired" during the recent
election campaign.
While Ben-Gurion was still on
the sick list, he met at his home
with a number of visitors, and
Wednesday was back at work in
his home here. He will preside
at the opening of the 6th Knesset
Monday — an honor accorded the
oldest member of parliament. Ben
Gurion is 79.
Earlier it was learned that Ben-
Gurion has accepted an invitation
to visit the United States next
February, to open the first con-
ference of the American-Israel
Bible Society in Chicago.
The visit, his first since 1961,
when he met the late President
John Kennedy and then conferred
with West German Chancellor
Konrad Adenauer when the latter
visited the United States, will
include a series of lectures under
the auspices of the Bible Society.
