ress of Bar-Ilan
University, the
tenth anniver-
sary celebration

Rabbi Morris Adler, who visited
Bar-Ilan several times during his
recent stay in Israel, will be prin-
cipal speaker at the dinner.
Announcement was made this
week that Samuel Frankel, as gen-
eral chairman of the committee,
will be assisted by the following:
- Honorary chairmen, Max M.
Gisher, Charles Grosberg and Dr.
William Haber.
The dinner committee under the
chairmanship of Dr. J. E. Gold-
man includes David I. Berris,
Abraham Borman, Torn Borman,
David J. Cohen, Morris Karbal,

Abe Kasle, Edward C. Levy, David
Pollack, Julius Rotenberg, Philip
Slomovitz and Max Stollman.
On a special arrangements com-
mittee are Norman J. Cohen,
David Muskovitz, Graham Orley
and Max Ostrow.
A schOlarship committee headed
by Irwin I. Cohn included Rich-
ard Sloan, co-chairman, Norman
Allan, Nathan Goldin, Samuel
Hechtman, Daniel Laven and
David Safran.

Boston Hospital Awarded
for Medical Care Program

NEW YORK — Boston's Beth
Israel Hospital has been selected
to receive the 1965 William J.
Shroder Memorial Award for large
cities. The winning project was a
new comprehensive medical care
program for infants and children
from low-income families who have
had no continuous relationship
with a private physician. A second
award — for projects in cities
with Jewish populations of less
than 40,000 — was won by the
Women's Division of the Milwaukee
Jewish Welfare Fund for its group
dynamics training program.

Shazar Offers Detroiter's Hospitality

Dedicated in Israel

JERUSALEM (JTA) — A new
school to be known as the Edward
and Anna Mitchell Adult Workers
College, was dedicated here in cere-
monies addressed by Minister of
Education Zalman Aranne and
Yehoshua Levy, treasurer of His-
tadrut, the Israeli federation of
labor.
The school is the latest of a
series of Israeli educational insti-
tutions endowed by Edward Mitch-
el, a Los Angeles philanthropist.
The college will provide special
courses for workers and house-
wives.
