Volunteers, their guests, friends
of Histadrut and leaders of the
Organizations Division have been
invited to a pre-campaign break-
fast meeting at Boesky's Resta-
urant, 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
Guest speaker will be Safed
Mayor Avraham Hacohen, who is
currently visiting the United
States on behalf of Histadrut.

of the kabbalah
become a modern
community able
to absorb thou-
sands of new im-
migrants. Under
his direction, the
city's education-
al and industrial
.facilities have
• been greatly ex-
plained, and it
has derived new
fame from its
Hacohen art colony.
A graduate of the Hebrew
University, Hacohen served with
the British army in Tripoli and
Italy and in the Hagana. Both
journalist and historian, he has
deep interest in reconstruction

The composition "Serio-Giocoso"
by the Israeli composer Hanoch
Jacoby will have its first per-
formance in the United States at
the annual Balfour Concert of the
Zionist Organization of Detroit on
Nov. 21, at Ford Auditorium, Dr.
Alex Friedlaender, chairman of
the concert committee, announced
this week.
The Detroit Symphony Orchestra
will be directed at the concert by
Paul Paray.
The guest artist will be the
world famous violinist, Nathan
Milstein.
Dr. Friedlaender announced that
the concert program will be:

ancient city of Safed.
On the eve of the 1966 Histadrut
Campaign, volunteers have been
called upon to launch a major
effort to complete the drive suc-
cessfully. At the recent Histadrut
conference and delegates' recep-
tion, a goal of $150,000 was set
for 1966. All Histadrut volunteers
have received their kits and many
of those attending the breakfast
are expected to have already com-
pleted their assignments.

Detroit's '66 Auto Show
Coming to Cobo Hall
The Detroit Auto Dealers As-
sociation is gearing for its ob-
servance of the Detroit Auto Show
Nov. 27 - Dec. 5. at Cobo Hall.
The National automobile shows
of 1960 and 1962 were the only
ones previously held in Cobo Hall.
Approximately 250,000 visitors
are expected to see the 1966
models.
The show will occupy the main
floor of Cobo Hall where new
domestic cars, as well as imports,
will be displayed.
