Campaign Inaugurated
for Hospitalized Veterans

Mayor Cavanagh officially open-
ed the drive to raise $10,000 for
hospitalized veterans at the Dear-
born, Ann Arbor and Battle Creek
hospitals.
The annual drive, under the
sponorship of the Allied Veterans
Council, is being conducted for the
eighth consecutive year by Benj-
amin Levinson. As chairman of the
fund-raising committee, he and
Jack Schwartz, president of the
Allied Veterans Council, were pre-
sent in Mayor Cavanagh's office.
Money raised will go to the
families of the hospitalized vet-
erans who, because of their war-
incurred disabilities, will never
leave the hospital.
Checks, payable to the Allied
Veterans Council Christmas Fund,
may be sent to 915 First National
Building. This is a tax deductible
contribution.
