An auto accident last Friday
night took the lives of Louis Wein-
stein, 54, and his daughter, Bar-
bara, 22, both of 17558 Dolores,
Livonia.
Miss Weinstein was killed in-
stantly in the collision, which oc-
curred at the Eight Mile-James
Couzens service drive. Her father,
who was driving, died in Provi-
dence Hospital the following day.
Mr. Weinstein was in the dry-
cleaning business. His daughter,
a student at Rackham's University
of Michigan Extension, was a mem-
ber of Bnai Brith Young Women
and a volunteer at Sinai Hospital.
Surviving are Mr. Weinstein's
wife, Betty; a daughter, Mrs. Alvin
(Madelyne) Friedman; three sis-
ters and one grandchild. Barbara
Weinstein's grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Gendloff, also sur-
vive.

GERTRUDE NAFTULIN, former
Detroiter of Los Angeles, died Oct.
6. She leaves two daughters, Mrs.
Max (Mae) Weine of Camden, N. J.,
and Mrs. Grace Friedman of Los
Angeles; seven sisters, Mrs. Sadie
Frankil of Philadelphia, and Mrs.
Rose Rosenberg, Mrs. Ben (Sophie)
Shifrin, Mrs. Harry (Jessie) Bright,
Mrs. Jay (Helen) Rosenshine, Mrs.
Nathan (Ruth) Bright and Mrs.
Ezra (Leah) Lipkin, all of Detroit;
a brother. Dr. William J. Vidaver
of Detroit; four grandchildren and
one great-grandchild.

Irving Colton, a manufacturer of
janitorial supplies on McGraw
Ave., died Thursday at age 53.
Mr. Colton, 19235 Archdale, was a
native of Rochester, N.Y.
He leaves his wife, June; two

father, Jacob; two brothers, Sol
and Harry; and two sisters, Mrs.
Sol (Sarah) Oseff and Mrs.
Walter (Mesina) Rose.
