Israeli Col. Dina Werth to Be Guest
at Fashion Festival for Bonds Oct. 14

Colonel Dina Werth, former
commander-in-chief of the Wom-
en's Army of Israel will be
a speaker at the Givenchy-Israel
fashion show luncheon Thursday
in the Latin Quarter. There will
be 47 original
creations in the
collection, 12 by
Hubert deGiven-
chy, world re-
nowned Parisian
designer and 35
by t h e leading
designers a n d
manufacturers of
Israel. The event
is sponsored by
Col. Worth the Detroit Is-
rael Bond Women's Division,
under the chairmanship of Mrs.
Morris L. Schaver. Mrs. Milton
Wise is fashion festival chairman.
Cindy Adams, author and fashion
expert, will commentate the show.
Col. Werth is currently the direc-
tor of a foreign ministry educa-
tional mission in the Ivbry Coast,,
West Africa, where she and five
young officers from Israel's
women's army are training hun-
dreds of young native women.
The fashion show is under the
patronage of French Consul Gen-
eral Jean LeDireach, and Madame
LeDireach and of Israel Consul
General Jacob Barmore and Mrs.
Barmore, who will be guests at
the luncheon.
A feature of the fashion festival
will be the presentation of the
fourth annual "S t a r of Israel"
original diamond creation de-
signed and presented by Mr. and
Mrs. Norman Allan.
