awards at the last board meeting
of the Jewish Welfare Federation.
The Frank A. Wetsman leadership
award for 1965 was presented to
Herbert A. Aronsson; Mrs. N.
Brewster Broder (Ruth Kahn)
received the newly created Sylvia
Simon Greenberg Leadership
Award.
Selections were made by an
award committee on the basis of
actively demonstrated service to
the Federation and its constituent
agencies. Purpose of the awards is

John Greenberg, husband and sons
of the late Mrs. Greenberg, in her
memory.
Mrs. Broder has provided out-
standing leadership to the Wom-
en's Division in its year-round pro-
gram and the campaign. She is '
presently the adviser to the cam-
paign pace-setters of which she
has been co-chairman.
Aronsson serves on the Federa-
tion board of governors and was
the 1965 - pre-campaign co-chair-
man of the arts and crafts divi-
sion. He is active in many civic
groups in the general community.
The committee who selected this
year's recipients included Feder-
ation President Hyman Safran; the
president of the United Jewish
Charities. Erwin S. Simon; execu-
tive director of Federation, Wil-
liam Avrunin; William M. Wets-
man, Samuel S. Greenberg, Ron-
ald I. Greenberg, Mrs. Celia
Baruch, representing the Women's
Division; and Mrs. Esther Apple-
man, secretary of the awards com-
mittee.

The annual. "See Suburbia"
house and garden tour of Subur-
ban Hills Chapter, Women's
American ORT, will feature the
homes of several area residents
11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 8.
Included in the tour are the
homes of Messrs. and Mesdames
Jack Bean, Paul Borman, Mike
Rosenthal, Irving Seligman,
Leonard Stone, Morris Usher and
Alvin Wasserman, all of the Birm-
ingham-Farmington vicinity.
