A Lithuanian Novel

"Rejuvenation of Siegfried Im-
merselbe" is a Lithuanian novel
translated for the first time into
English by Albinas Baranauskas,
and published by Manyland Books,
Inc. It is a satire on the whole
totalitarian supposition: that some
races are better than others, and
the Jews are the eternal adultera-
tors of all human values and all
biological traits.

JERUSALEM — Khamis Abu
Gosh, former chairman of the
council of the Arab village of Abu
Gosh, was sentenced Wednesday
to nine months imprisonment for
illegally crossing into Jordan
several weeks ago.
The Arab official was returned
to Israel by the United Nations
Israel - Jordan Mixed Armistice
Commission. He told the court
he had crossed over to Jordan out
of despair over "insurmountable
debts" and not out of any animos-
ity toward the state of Irsael.

Ignas Seinius is the author of
"Rejuvenation of Siegfried Im-
merselbe."

The leading character is the
general director of the New
Anthropological Museum in Munich
during the Third Reich, and as
such is one of the supreme guard-
ians of racial purity. The good and
great Dr. Immerselbe and his as-
sistants preach the doctrine of
Aryan supremacy to all visitors,
including a delegation of American
women not all of them bona fide
Aryans.

Tickets will be available tomor-
row night, prior to the game, at
the U. of D. Stadium, for the con-
test between the Israeli Hapoel
Petah-Tikvah soccer game against
Detroit Carpathia Kickers.
On its tour of the country, which
concludes with the Detroit game
Saturday night, the Israel team
lost only on game.

Rabbi YAAKOV ZEV has been
appointed director of alumni ac-
tivities at Yeshiva University.

What takes place at the clinic
is contemporary literature at its
most penetrating and humorous,
commenting, not only on Nazi mad-
ness, but on phonies in science and
philosophy and art. Dr. Immerselbe
realizes the difference between
Good and Evil. He is now able to
love and he falls in love with a
Jewish woman. leading to amusing
skirmishes in man-woman relation-
