Rosh Hashanah

THE CALL
OF THE SHOFAR

Awake, ye slumberers, from your sleep, ex-

amine your deeds and humbly return to God,

the source of justice and truth. All ye who

are absorbed in foolishness and forget your-

selves, ye who pass your day in emptiness,

remember your Creator, look into your soul,

and amend your ways. Forsake your impure

thoughts and your wicked deeds, and follow

kindness and righteousness.

Happy 5726.

We especially greet our co-workers in the

and pray for successful continuation of ef-

Americans call it "Indian Summer,"
possibly because this spell of fine
weather during autumn once gave
the Indians a chance to make more
attacks on the early settlers. In
other parts of the world, however,
this period is known by such names
as "All Hallow Summer," "God's
Gift to Poland," and "Old Wives'

Summer."
