hold an open membership-board
meeting 12:30 p.m. Monday at the
home of Mrs. Joseph Rottenberg,

Herman, chairman of the board,
will preside, and Mrs. William
Bonin, vice president, will introd-
uce new members. A comprehen-
sive case report will be given by

Murray Adelson and Mrs. Jack
Garfield. Plans will be made for
the annual fund-raising event to
be held in April. Dessert luncheon

the synagogue. Mrs. Reuben Bien-
stock, congregation member who
has traveled extensively in Israel,
will speak on "The Israeli Child."
Mrs. Bienstock has devoted much
time and effort to the needs and
education of the children of Israel.

On Sept. 21, 12:30 p.m. in the Beth
Aaron Synagogue, the Women's
Auxiliary of the Jewish National
Fund will launch its current sea-
son of activities with a city-wide
campaign to place traditional JNF
Blue White Box in a wide number
of homes in Detroit and suburban
areas. Under the general chair-
manship of Mrs. Samuel Katz, a
corps of women will accept kits
to clear those boxes already placed
placed in Detroit homes and to
place additional numbers of boxes
in new homes, working under the
slogan, "No Jewish Home Without
a Blue Box."
Mrs. Irving Arlin, membership
chairman, has authored an original
skit entitled "Salute to Israel"
which will highlight the afternoon's
program. Mrs. Shirley Monson, vo-

calist, will be guest artist of the
afternoon, presenting a program of
Hebrew and Yiddish melodies, as-
sisted by Bella Goldberg at the
piano. Mrs. Jacob Axelrod will
open the program with the national
anthems after a dessert luncheon.
Box holders and donors to the
annual donor event and prospective
and current members are invited
to be guests of the Auxiliary.
Mrs. Samuel Baker will be chair-
man of the. afternoon
The annual drive for new mem-
bers will be opened at this event
under the chairmanship of Mrs.
Irving Arlin and the membership
committee. A friend of the Jewish
National Fund has donated a valu-
able designer jacket to be given as
a prize, with all in attendance
eligible for it.
ADAS SHALOM SISTERHOOD
will meet 12:30 p.m. Monday in
the social hall, announced Mrs.
Ben Morganroth, president. Feat-
ured will be a dramatic presenta-
tion, "One World," which depicts
the universality of man. Under the
chairmanship of Mrs. Joseph
Katchke, programing this year is
based on the theme "Lighting the
Way to Understanding." Scenes
enacted in "One World" were
selected from the plays "Raisin
in the Sun," "A Majority Of One"
and "The First Born." The cast
includes Melba Winer, Evie Or-
bach and Rita Kogan, members of
the Mobile Unit of the Jewish
Center Theater. The invocation
will be given by Mrs. Leonard S.
Cahan. Singing of the national
anthems will be led by Mrs. Mor-
ris Botwin, accompanied by Mrs.
George Bassin. Dessert luncheon
will be served, and guests are in
vited.

will hear a report on Israel from
members Rebecca Krasnow and
Libby Cohen, recent visitors there,
at its meeting 12:30 p.m. Wednes-
day at the Labor Zionist Institute.
