to Champaign, Ill., where Mr. Kolb, a June graduate of Wayne State
University, will attend the University of Illinois law school.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Schreiber of W. Outer Dr. have just returned
from a family reunion in New York. The reunion was in honor of the
birth of their fourth grandchild, Dr. and Mrs. Samuel M. Schreiber's
daughter Stephanie. Also present were Dr. and Mrs. Edward B. Gardner
and their three children.

A dinner-dance followed the re-
cent ceremony at Adas Shalom
Synagogue which united Sandra
Ruth Nucian and Robert Barry
Hecker in marriage. Solemnizing
the ceremony were Rabbi Jacob
Segal and Cantor Nicholas Fena-
kel.
The couple's parents are Mr. and
Mrs. Lew Nucian of Ohio Ave. and
Mrs. Alfred Hecker of Greenfield
Rd. and the late Mr. Hecker.

The bride's English net gown
was beaded in pearls and crys-
tals with flowers of Alencon
lace. Her headpiece was an origi-
nal creation designed to match
the gown, and she carried white
orchids and Stephanotis on her
confirmation Bible.

Mrs. David Miller served as her
sister's matron of honor, and Bar-
bara Goldberg was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Laurie Kosins,
Linda Gantz, Josette Cash and
Mrs. Sidney Weber. The bride-
groom's niece, Maxine Miller, was
junior bridesmaid.
Best man for his nephew was
Paul Monchnik. The bride's broth-
ers, Richard and Gary Nucian,
were ushers, along with David
Miller, Michael Krauss, Marvin
Zuchter, Bernard Wexler, Jerry
Harris and Howard Portugais, both
of Chicago, and Dr. Martin
Schwartz of New York. The bride-
groom's nephew, Loren Miller, was
junior usher.
After a wedding trip to the West
Coast, the couple will live in-South-
field.

In its announcement that cash
collection campaigns in_ the
United States and Canada in the
first six months of this year
showed a 4 per cent. increase
over the same period last year,
the Council of Jewish Federa-
tions and Welfare Funds stated
that the Detroit Jewish commu-
nity was the leader among com-
munities of 40,000 and over. De-
troit shows a gain of 23.1 per
cent for a total of $2,143,857.

Louis P. Smith of Boston, chair-
man of the CJFWF cash mobiliza-
tion committee, reported that the
total collected by the 72 reporting
.communities through June was
$26,272,796 compared with $25,-
259,853 during the first six months
of 1964. Responsible for the in-
crease, he pointed out, are favor-
able economic conditions, more ef-
ficient collection methods, and an
awareness among contributors
that prompt payments are vital
if urgent needs are to be met.
Of the cities reporting, includ-
ing Detroit, 20 communities show-
ed increases of more than 20 per
cent.

Women's Chapter won the Inter-
national BBYO First-Place Fem-
ales Team High Series bowling
trophy. Member Arlene Burke won
the International Individual Third
Place High Series trophy.
Michigan Region held its BBYO
bowling tournament March 20. The
awards were presented at the re-
cent BBYO international conven-
tion.
This year's newly installed offi-
cers are: Karen Heller, president;
Shari Lipson, vice president;
Elaine Friedman, treasurer; Dian-
na Schulman and Margaret Merin,
secretaries, and Margaret Weiner,
chaplain.
