Ukrainians Reported Able
to Establish Links Abroad

LONDON—A news item in Pra-
vad Ukrainy, a daily newspaper
published in Kiev and received
here Wednesday, showed that
Ukrainains are permitted to estab-
lish links with their people abroad
—a privilege denied to Russian
Jewry.
The newspaper, official organ of
the Communist Party of the Uk-
rainian SSR reported that a dis-
trict branch of the Society for
Cultural Ties With Ukrainians
Abroad had been set up in the
city of Chernovsky. There is no
equilvalent organization in Kiev,
one of the larger centers of Jewish
population in the USSR, for cul-
tural or any other ties with Jews
abroad.

Emerging as Israel's most at-
tractive industrialist is Judith
Muller of Haifa, who has recently
introduced a perfume she calls
Batsheba, with a backward glance
at Biblical days. An immigrant
from Hungary, who started selling
soda in her father's kiosk in down-
town Haifa and who today is in
big business, she is typical of an
Israel success story.
Miss Muller got her early start
adding art to nature her days as
a Chen soldier. From making up
her fellow girl soldiers on their
day off in her family's one room
flat, she proceeded to teach make-
up to women in the kibbutzim.
Today, she has her own salon on
Hadar Hacarmel with her own
products. Her new venture exqui-
sitely bottled in ancient glass jars,
puts her on the roster of Israel
businessmen contributing to the
Israel economy.
Batsheba is made entirely of
Israel products. It has the scent
of, jasmine as well as that of the
oranges of the Sharon. It has the
smell of the flowers of the Carmel
presented in authentic replicas of
antique phials in individual colors,
which has probably never been
done in any country, by male or
female perfume manufacturer.
