Israeli Beauty in New Film

Forestbrook Golf, Country Club Open to 'Young Executive on the Way Up'

Daliah Lavi, the Israeli beauty
who made sweeping conquests with
her portrayal in "Lord Jim," now
once more with Columbia Studios,
essays one of the leads in Phil
Karson's "The Silencers," produced
by Irving Allen and currently on
location in Southern California.
Dean Martin heads cast.

For the first time in nearly a
generation, Charter Membership in
a posh golf and country club is
available to the public. Founders
Herb Kay and Stanley Stalburg
were the driving forces behind the
newly opened Edgewood Swim Club
community pool at 10% Mile Rd.
just west of Southfield Rd. in
Southfield.
They have now formed "The For-
estbrook Golf and Country Club"
in Northwest Detroit. Created with
the young executive and his fami-
ly in mind, the founders of the
club will provide complete family
facilities, which will include the
following: 18-hole golf course, put-

ting green, club house with com-
plete dining and party facilities,
an olympic-sized swimming pool
and sun deck, tennis and handball
courts, recreation and picnic area,
a health club, which will include
an ultra modern steam bath and
an exercise room, a completely
supervised day camp for members'
children and year-round recreation-
al and social activities.
Recognizing the desire and
need for keeping the family to-
gether in the summertime-espe-
cially if dad is a golf fiend-the
day camp was included in the
ticket price.
Three classes of membership are

available. But, advises Kay, the
charter membership is a special
package - financially speaking.
Those families that sign up early
will save a lot of money over the
long pull.
The club will fill the gap pres-
ently felt between the semi-public
and the lowest priced golf and
country club now available.
A modest initiation fee and low
dues will enable even the young
family "on the go" to belong. Ar-
rangements have been completed
with the City National Bank to
provide a finance program for
charter membership acquisition, to
qualified applicants.
