Make 2 Awards,
Elect Officers

At their annual meeting of
June 29, Paul Broder was re-elect-
ed president of the Jewish Voca-
tional Service and Ronald L.
Greenberg was re-elected p•esi-
dent of the Community Workshop.
Other oficers elected to the
JVS board of trustees are Morris
H. Brown and William M. Wets-
men, vice-presidents; Harold S.
Norman, secretary, and Louis M.
Hinderstein, treasurer.
Officers elected by the Com-
munity Workshop are Benton B.
Wolfe and William Zack, vice-
presidents; Mrs. Gabriel N. Alex-
ander, secretary; and Julian H.
Scott, treasurer.
Re-elected as JVS trustees for
three-year terms are William M.
Davidson, Louis M. Hinderstein,
Max M. Isberg, Richard A. Kahn,
and Harold S. Norman. Newly
elected trustees for three-year
terms are Merle Harris, Norman
D. Katz, and Robert A. Steinberg.
Jerome Sonenklar, Bruce E. Thal
and Dr. William Wattenberg were
elected for an interim term of 1
two years.
The Community Workshop re-
elected as trustees for three-year
terms Peter B. Copeland, Arnold
Faudm•n, Donald W. Greene, Mel-
vin. R. Kolbert, Julian H. Scott,
and Robert M. Zell.
Walter J. Rubiner and Philip
T. Warren are newly elected -as
trustees for three-year terms. Mel-
vin Binder was elected for an in-
terim term of two years and Bert
J. Gooel for an interim term of
one year.
The Jewish Vocational Service
-presented the award of "Employ-
er of the Year" to Jerome Ash,
president of the Perfection Auto-
motive Products - Corp. for out-
standing cooperation in making
available job opportunities for
persons with special employment
needs.
The "Contractor of the Year"
award from the Community Work-
shop was presented to the Sun-
Lite Manufacturing Company with
Melvin Binder accepting the
award for outstanding coopera-
tion in advancing a rehabilitation
program for disabled workers.

MRS. MARVIN WEISENTHAL

Gisela Rutzky and Marvin Leon-
ard Weisenthal, son of Mrs. Valeria
Weisenthal of Woodtngha• Dr.
and the late Mr. Irving Weisen-
thal, were married at the Menorah
Temple in Brooklyn Saturday eve-
ning.
The bride, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Salomon Rutzky of Brooklyn,
was gowned in organza and wore
a short illusion veil.
Mrs. Adele Jackson was the
matron of honor and Dr. Sheldon
Katanick, the bridegroom's cousin,
was best man.
After a wedding trip to Puerto
Rico, the newlyweds- will reside in
Southfield.

Branch 79 to Gather

Branch 79, Farband, Labor Zion-
ist Order, will hold its closing
meeting for the summer 9 p.m.
Wednesday at the Labor Zionist
Institute.
Aaron Kutnick will lecture on
"Modern Yiddish-Kulture." There
also will be reports of committee
activities, and a financial report
by Hyman Max, secretary.
Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Katz will
serve refreshments in honor of the
graduation of their grandson, and
chairman will be Louis Rosenberg.

The couple's parents are Mr.

lawn Ave. and Mr. and Mrs. Jo-
se-ph Jackier of Warrington Dr.

bridesmaids Mrs. Ronald Silber-

and Mrs. Stuart Goldstein.

Martin Jackier served his
brother as best man, assisted by
another brother, Robert Jackier,
who was junior best man. Ush-

Alan Turtletaub of Bayonne,

Marsha to Paul Irving Pesiek, son
