Religious Zionists to Stress Secondary All-Day Schools

NEW YORK (JTA)—The Jew-
ish all-day school movement, which
has created nearly 300 primary
schools in the United States dur-
ing the past 25 years, will con-
centrate its efforts in the next 25
years on the creation of additional
all-day secondary schools to pro-
vide maximum high school facili-
ties for its primary school grad-
uates.

ligious life in Israel had been
strengthened in recent years de-
spite the struggle between Israeli
Jews who observe Jewish religious
tradition and those of a secular,
nationalistic orientation.
The dinner was also the occa-
sion for conferring the Chief Rab-

bi Herzog Medal Torah Scholar-
ship Award on a group of Ameri-
can Jews in recognition of their
services to traditional Jewish edu-
cation. One of these was Rabbi
Isaac Stollman of Detroit.
