Must be that good clean living she always keeps telling us about . . . A demon at that poker table, she's still playing on her winnings .. . At least, so she says, and who are we to doubt her . . . Only time mom ever told anything not so was way back when we all lived in a little apart- ment on Woodrow Wilson and Taylor . . . Marv, .L11 (now Mrs. David A. Rosen,) Belle, Mom and this baby of the family . Some guy outside was picking up Belle and as usual kept his hand on the horn until she came out . . She finally married him and mom said Harry Weingarden would never do it again . . . Boy, was she wrong. . . . Mom's tough, too . . . Lost almost a dollar at her Saturday Poker Club recently and almost tore the deck in half. . . Mom is still a fancy dancer (we can hardly keep up with her) and likes a good joke or two or three or . . . Oh, no, mom isn't all good . . . she has her faults . . . like worrying too much about her chil- dren and their families, trying to cook for anybody they bring over, laughing at jokes even if they aren't any good, wearing out part- ners on the dance floor . . . and above all, being so darned senti- mental . . .
