During the last five years, more than 500,000 Jews migrated, more than half to Israel and some 200,000 to France, making this one of the biggest periods of Jewish movement since the end of the Second World War, states the re- port. Present indications are that this trend will continue and that ORT trade instruction to help new comers prepare for employment will continue to grow. ORT is the international Jew- ish vocational training agency. En- titled ORT Yearbook 1965, the re- port, which covers the years 1960- 64, was released simultaneously by the organization's headquarters in New York and in Geneva, Switz- erland. The publication announced that 42,328 persons last year received educational and economic assist- ance in 625 ORT training units. Seventy different trade skills were taught by 1,359 instructors. Over the last five years, 102,544 persons enrolled in such training services. The ORT programs were con- ducted in 21 countries, chiefly in Israel, North Africa, Iran, Poland and Western Europe. A new train- ing activity was opened recently in Bombay, India. and Florida when- travel is on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. R.
